Keeping Test Valley Tidy

An Andover resident is making positive steps to improve the town by encouraging people to be grateful for what they have got.

Charity Fund Raiser, Anti Litter Campaigner, Supporter of The Charter for Rights Respect and Responsibility, Manuela Wahnon is also very active in raising awareness for the local charity Andover Food Bank.

Kindness and Good Manners are Free

“All around us people throw away litter and discard it in such an obscene manner,” she said.

“My campaign is called Attitude of Gratitude, as we’ve always got something to be grateful for in our lives, so with that in mind, obviously don't drop litter, but if you also try to pick up at least one piece of litter a day you can make the area you live in a better place.

“We live in such a beautiful town. I’m not working as I have retired, and it gives me a lot of time to reflect on things around me and where I can do my bit to help others.

Each day that I wake up its one day less for me on this Earth, so I ensure that it doesn’t get wasted.

“In my own way I try to inspire people to be more Charitable, Honourable and Big-hearted.

“Every day I feel blessed that I am given another 24 golden hours to play my part”
